The Gordon Ada PhD Scholarship in Immunology or Virology honors the distinguished Australian immunologist and virologist, Professor Gordon Ada AO, FAA. This supplementary scholarship supports students enrolled in the JCSMR PhD program in Immunology or Virology, and it is awarded annually, subject to available funds. The scholarship to be taken at Australian National University

• Value: $10,000 per year
• Duration: Payments are made fortnightly for up to 3 years

• Eligibility: Domestic and international prospective postgraduate research students

Selection Criteria

• Basis: Academic merit
• Ongoing Eligibility: Must maintain base stipend scholarships
• Extension: An additional 6-month extension is available

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, students must:

• Hold a Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarship, ANU University Research Scholarship (URS), ANU PhD Scholarship, or another approved scholarship at The Australian National University
• Be enrolled in a PhD program at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, College of Health & Medicine, with research focus in Immunology or Virology

There is no separate application for this scholarship. All eligible students will be considered automatically based on their merit as part of their application to study at The Australian National University.
