  • About Enga Teachers College
The Enga Teachers College is  located in Wabag, the capital of Enga Province in  Papua New Guinea (PNG).  The college trains students who wish to become primary school teachers in PNG.  The  College is a government run institution  and has boarding facilities.  The college has a student population of about 700 and teaching staff of 40. The College has nearly 25 support staff.

The Enga Teachers College offers Three years Diploma in Primary Teaching. Courses offered by Enga Teachers College
include English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Agriculture, Business,  live skills and so on. ​

Entry Requirements 

The entry requirements for Enga Teachers college :  Students who wish to obtain a diploma in primary teacher at Enga Teachers College  can apply to the college through two methods which are 
  1. School Leavers 
  2. Non School Leavers.​
School Leavers : If you are a current Grade 12 student, you fall under this category called the School leavers. In order for you to study at Enga Teachers College you need to apply  through the Grade 12 School Leaver form (SLF).  You must fill the School Leaver Form (SLF) both manually and electronically that is facilitated by Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) through the National Online Application System (NOAS). Due dates for NOAS Application falls around October. 
  • GPA and Requirements  :  
Enga Teachers College requires  a  GPA of 2.4 or above or at least  B in English and Mathematics and C in other subjects studied in year 12.
 
  • Non School Leaver Forms for Enga Teachers College 
 The Non School Leavers  refers  to those who are applying through not through the NOAS system. These are students who have upgraded their marks or  pursued other careers but want to join the teaching career. 

NON School Leavers  Application FORM - ENGA Teachers College 

​The Non –School Leavers forms  to study at  Enga Teachers College are usually issued by the College around July/August. All you need to do is to write to the college (see address below) requesting  for a non school leaver form. Those within the Enga province or nearby provinces  can go to the college and collect the forms from the college. 

 Fill the form  and send it to the college.  Selections are done by the National Department of Education in Port Moresby. 
Non-School Leavers must have good grades in their upgraded Certificates or must have good recommendation from the organisation you have worked with.  ​

The Acceptance list for Enga Teachers College for School leavers are released by DHERST annually through the media or online. Eligible students can also check the status of the choices in the NOAS system while Non School leavers acceptance offers are sent to the student by the college. Enga is located in the Upper Highlands of Papua New Guinea. The college is surrounded by mountains and the climate is wet and cold all throughout thee year.   Students from all over PNG study at Enga teachers colleges and the cultural interactions among students are  exciting. The college participates in extra curriculum activities like sports, churches , cultural shows. 
Teaching practicum is usually conducted in third year and students are sent to schools within and outside the province. The college has boarding facilities and most students reside at the compass. Amenities like library. halls, internet, book shops are available. The college is located just few kilometers away from the main Wabag town.
