New Zealanad Scholarships for New Caledonia
Every year New Caledonian students receive scholarships from several different countries. The New Caledonian students enjoy studies abroad in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies under these scholarships. One of the countries that New Caledonia receives yearly scholarships is New Zealand. The New Zealand Government offers scholarships to New Calendonia students yearly to study in New Zealand under "pacific scholarships" which is a scholarship program offered by the New Zealand Government for all Pacific Island countries. Under the Pacific Scholarships New Caledonia students are eligible to take up postgraduate and undergraduate studies in New Zealand. The types of scholarships avaible under these scholarships; New Zealand Pacific Scholarships (NZPS): Available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. New Zealand Regional Development Scholarships (NZRDS): Available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students at a Pacific based tertiary institution. Applications are closed at the end of May each year. Short Term Training Awards (STTA): These scholarships are available for vocational and skills-based training in New Zealand for a period of less than one year. STTA applications can be lodged at any time of the year. (Please note that there is a pre-applicaition process for all scholarships). The Scholarships are offered in New Caledonia's development priority areas including: Economic development Education and Governance. areas: economics, marketing, management, money and finance, resource management, engineering, planning, agriculture, forestry and environmental studies. Education: education administration, curriculum development, teacher education, assessment and evaluation. Governance: public policy and administration, financial management, economics, auditing, monitoring and evaluation, social policy, social work and community development. Qualification Types. The following qualifications are obtained by New Caledonia students under these scholarships. Diploma (1-2 years) Bachelor (3-4 years) Postgraduate Certificate (6 months) Postgraduate Diploma (1 year) Masters (research and/or coursework) (1-2 years) Doctoral (PhD) (3.5-4 years) |
