New Zealand Development Scholarships for International Students
New Zealand Development Scholarships for International students are now open. These scholarships are for studies in any participating universities in New Zealand.
The purpose of the scholarships is for candidates to gain knowledge and skills through post-graduate study in specific subject areas which will assist in the development of their home country. Awardees are required to return to their home country for at least two years after the completion of their scholarship to apply these new skills and knowledge in government, civil society, or private business organisations.

Scholarship Program
New Zealand Development Scholarships are available for the following qualifications:
Eligibility: NZDS are for postgraduate study in New Zealand and are available to candidates from specific African, Caribbean and Latin American countries, and from Bhutan, Jordan, Mongolia, Nepal and Timor-Leste. NZDS are also available for undergraduate study to candidates from Timor Leste.

- Postgraduate Diploma (1 year)
- Master’s Degree (1 – 2 years)
- PhD (3 – 4 years)
