Australian Scholarships in Bachelor of Nursing for PNG Students in 2016 - 2017

Overview

To pursue a Bachelor and/or Diploma in Nursing for studies in 2016 and , interested applicants living in rural areas in Papua New Guinea must first meet the institution(s) selection criteria. The Bachelor and Diploma of Nursing programs are delivered in two parts. The Bachelor of Nursing is a four year program and is ONLY delivered at Pacific Adventist University (PAU). The Diploma of Nursing is a three year program delivered at eight other institutions around the country. The selection criteria varies for School leavers and Non-school leavers and selection is based on Papua New Guinea Government priorities and student merits.

How to be considered for a scholarship?Applicants must FIRST apply and be accepted to one of the partner institutions listed in the table below in order to be considered for a scholarship. If you are not accepted for admission to one of the institutions, you will not be considered for a scholarship.

Scholarship selection criteria

Applicants who have been accepted by one of the nine institutions must also meet the selection criteria for a scholarship.
School Leavers must Non-School Leavers must

• Be between 18-25 years of age (at date of application)
• Indicate Nursing as your first choice on your School Leaver Form
• Have studied Biology and Chemistry and achieved a strong GPA score

• Be between 18-25 years of age (at date of application)
• Matriculated Grade 12 and achieved a strong GPA score from an accredited institution

Both school leavers and non-school leavers living in rural areas are encouraged to apply.
