East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship in USA

Here is a great Scholarship for International Students from selection countries to study in the United States of America.  The East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship provides master's and doctoral funding for graduate students with a commitment to the Asia Pacific region. Graduate degree fellows come from the U.S., Asia and the Pacific region to participate in residential, educational and leadership development programs at the East-West Center while pursuing graduate study at the University of Hawaii. Through East-West Center affiliation, awardees become part of an active social network of students and alumni committed to positive change. The East-West Center and the University of Hawaii offer premier resources for studies on Asia and the Pacific.

Scholarship Program
This scholarship is open for students who are undertaking Masters and PhD Programs

Field of Study: Any field offered by the University of Hawaii

Eligible Nationality:  This scholarship is open to students from the follow countries and regions.  Oceania, East Asia, Southeast Asia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India,Iran, Nepal, Pakistan,  Republic of Maldives, Russia, Sri Lanka, United States

Scholarship Benefits
Tuition and fees, housing, book allowance, subsidy toward health insurance coverage, stipend to partially cover food and incidental expenses.


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Requirements 1:     Must submit both the application for East-West Center Graduate Fellowship and the University of Hawaii Graduate Admissions Application to the East-West Center Award Services Office by Postmark deadline of November 1, 2016.
• Requirements 2:     The East-West Center invites applications from citizens of the U.S. and countries in the Pacific and Asia, including Russia.
• Requirements 3:     A minimum TOEFL score of 550 PBT/ 213 CBT/ 79 IBT, or 6.5 IELTS score for international applicants or non-native speakers of English.
• Requirements 4:     Must meet the requirements for the Exchange Visitor (J-1 visa) program.

Duration: 2 years
