The Government of New Zealand provides scholarships for students from India to study in any universities and colleges in New Zealand. Indian students are invited to apply for this scholarship.
Purpose of award
The scholarships form part of the New Zealand Prime Ministers' Education Initiative between New Zealand and India.
Applications are welcomed from candidates who meet ALL of the following criteria:
- At least 18 years at the time of application
- Indian citizen
- NOT a citizen or Permanent Resident of New Zealand or Australia
- Must have offer of place for direct entry into an approved programme
- Offer must be non-conditional, the only exception being payment of fees
- Must meet Immigration New Zealand requirements for a New Zealand Student Visa including health, character requirements and evidence of financial support www.immigration.govt.nz
Programme Eligibility Criteria
Applications are welcome from eligible candidates to undertake programmes that meet ALL of the following criteria:
Approved disciplines: Sport & Exercise Science or Sport and Exercise Management, Sport & Recreation
Approved start date: February 2015 semester
Approved level: Bachelor degrees, Graduate Diplomas, Postgraduate Diplomas and Masters
Approved mode: Full time study while physically based in New Zealand (not from distance)
Approved providers: New Zealand Universities, Institutes of Technology or Polytechnics (ITPs)
Number of awards offered
NZISS funding is for 1 year only - Full tuition fees (1 year) - NZ$15,000 living costs (1 year)
